Hiker Jim: The journey ends

Jim Schiwal, aka Hiker Jim to us and Castanets to his fellow Appalachian Trail hikers, completed his 2,174-mile Walk for Alley on September 11–seven months and three days after he hit the trail in Georgia.
Jim (in tuxedo with hiking partner Wing-Heart) has raised more than $2,000 for the Foundation so far, and he expects to pick up more checks when he arrives back home in Georgia.
On his way home, he made a pit stop at the Foundation office today, along with Wing-Heart and another AT hiker, Aussie. After enjoying cookies and conservation, we sent Jim off with a few mementos, including a set of real Castanets.
Way to go Jim. You’re an inspiration to us all.
